save shia in egypt

For decades, the Egyptian regime has undermined the Shia’s sense of belonging, fearing that allowing them a wider margin of freedom would lead to the spread of Shiism in the Sunni-dominated countrytoday, Egyptian Shia Muslims are not permitted to commemorate Ashura or build special Shia mosques. The Shia Egyptians have recurrently called for their right to restore Al-Azhar mosque, now the center of the highest religious Sunni authority in Egypt, built under the Fatimids in 972 AD by the Shia followers of Fatma Al-Zahraa, the granddaughter of Prophet Mohamed. It is no longer the Fatimist Al-Azhar, which used to be a center for renaissance in the Muslim World, but has become the center of the extremist Wahabi doctrine. In October 2008, Shia activist Mohamed El-Derini was held in custody for 15 days over charges of “spreading false rumors and inciting propaganda that could promote terror among people, disturb public security and the rule of law and undermine the trust in security agencies through claiming that prisoners and detainees died as a result of torture in prisons.”
El-Derini, who is considering leaving Egypt, had spent 15 months in prison from 2004-2005 for belonging to an “illegal organization,” and has published “Hell’s Capital” about his experience in jail.Head of the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights Hossam Bahgat told Daily News Egypt that the Egyptian constitution generally protects the freedom of religious rights. “While the Shia sect is not recognized by Egyptian law, there is no law prohibiting adherence to Shia beliefs.”
The Egyptian government has imprisoned 306 people that have converted to the Shia Islamic faith including a scholar from Al-Azhar University Sheikh Hassan Shahata. He was the Islamic adviser for the Egyptian army and an Imam of the Kobri Cairo mosque before he was withdrawn from this position, because he converted to the Shia belief. The arrest accord on 22/06/2009.On August 1,2009 Mass demonstrations outside the Egyptian embassy in London, the protesters demanded the Egypt's governor stop torturing shia and to give them full right to Shias and asked Mubarak "Why Christians and other religions have full rights in Egypt but Shia Muslims deprived from their basic rights and under various forms of persecution and discrimination?!The crowd chanted: "Death to Mubarak", "Death to Tantawi", "Death to the Qardawi", Will not be silent! Will not bow! Will not succumb! Shiism is coming to Egypt, despite the amended.Dr. Rasim al-Nafis, the grate Egyptian Shia thinker and university professor is planning to found a new shia organization but he stressed that the founding of Shia Organization is not a substitute for the Al ul- Bayt Center or any institution of Shias in Egypt. (Al ul-Bayt institution is the basic center for Shias in Egypt. (Muhammed El-Derini is the Secretary-General of the Council).
The aim of the new Assembly is to obtain legal protection for Shias and to eliminate restricts and prejudices against Shias.
Today about one million Shia live in Egypt with no rights at all but the egyptian govermnent estimate them about 5000 only .the united states estimate them about 750000 persons. thousands or millions these persons have rights and should be supported by the international law , save them, support them
